Bill Rotella, aka Smoke, is a singer-songwriter from Ventura County, California. Born in the San Fernando Valley, just north of Los Angeles, his musical journey began when he was exposed to exceptional musical talent within his own family.

Heartbreak Over Petty formed in 2017 when lifelong friends and seasoned bandmates came together to honor the music of Tom Petty following his passing. What began as a one-night tribute quickly sold out, followed by another show for fans who couldn’t get in — and the momentum never stopped.
